Hazrat Shahjalal Airport (DAC) commenced operations in 1980 replacing Tejgaon Airport as the main airport. It is home to flag carriers like Biman Bangladesh Airlines, Regent Airways, Novoair, and US-Bangla Airlines. It has the capacity to handle more than 18 million passengers.

Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (DAC) has three terminals: T1, T2, and T3.  Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are used for international operations only.
