Astana International Airport (NQZ) is also known as Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport. This primary international airport is located in the heart of Kazakhastan serving its capital city Nur-Sultan. It is one of the most important gateways into central Asia and also the busiest in the country with more than 5 million passenger traffic in 2019 alone. 

Astana Airport has two terminals and one runway along with maintenance facilities for cargo. This facility started operations in 1931 and has since undergone many transformations. It is named Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport (NQZ) after its first president. 

Astana International Airport (NQZ) is home to SCAT Airlines, FlyArystan, and Qazaq Air. Being one of the busiest airports in the country, it has now become a hub of cultural confluence and an important economic generator.
