Altus Air Force Base (LTS)

Located in the heart of Altus, Oklahoma, Altus Air Force Base (LTS Airport) hosts 97th Air Mobility Wing. The main vision of this facility is to provide training programs to up to 3,000 flight crew and other aircraft maintenance students from all over the country. 

The foundation stone of Altus Air Force Base was laid in 1943. Its original name was Altus Army Airfield (AAF). Colonel Matthew A. Leard and Colonel William B. Mickley III serve this facility as Commander and Vice Commander respectively while the Command Chief Master  Sergeant is Chief Master Sergeant Randy Kay II.
