Spread across an area of 1,981 acres, this spacious facility is operated by the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh. 

Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (DAC) commenced operations in 1980 replacing Tejgaon Airport as the main airport. It is home to flag carriers like Biman Bangladesh Airlines, Regent Airways, Novoair, and US-Bangla Airlines. It has the capacity to handle more than 18 million passengers.

Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (DAC) has three terminals known as T1, T2, and T3. 

Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are used for international operations only. Terminal 1 serves as an arrival hall while Terminal 2 serves as a departure hall. 

Terminal 3 will commence operations in 2022. There is a VIP Terminal as well about 200 meters from the main gate of the airport.
