Governador Jorge Teixeira de Oliveira International Airport is the main airport serving Porto Velho, the capital of the state of Rondônia in Brazil. It is located 9 kilometers (5.6 miles) from the city center, in the neighborhood of Belmonte. The airport was opened on April 16, 1969, and was initially named Caiari Airport. It was renamed in 2002 in honor of Jorge Teixeira de Oliveira, the first governor of Rondônia.
