The foundation stone of the airport was first laid in 1945. Four years down the lane in 1949, Ministro Pistarini International Airport (EZE) was inaugurated for passenger operations. At that point in time, this facility was one of the largest airports in the world with three world-class runways. The airport has been constantly witnessing a surge in passenger traffic ever since its inception in the late 1940s.
