It is the seventh busiest airport in Canada by passenger traffic, serving 3,031,113 passengers in 2022, and the 11th busiest airport by aircraft movements. It is a hub for passenger airlines Calm Air, Perimeter Airlines, Flair Airlines, and cargo airline Cargojet. It is also a focus city for WestJet.
The airport is located 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) west of downtown Winnipeg, at 2000 Wellington Avenue. The airport occupies 440 square kilometres (170 sq mi) of land, and has two runways, a main runway that is 12,000 feet (3,658 m) long and a secondary runway that is 8,000 feet (2,438 m) long. The airport also has a terminal building with two levels, and a parking garage with over 2,000 spaces.
