William P. Hobby Airport (HOU), also known as Houston Hobby Airport or simply Hobby Airport, is an international airport located 7 miles (11 km) from downtown Houston, Texas. It’s the oldest commercial airport in Houston and served as the city’s primary airport until the opening of George Bush Intercontinental Airport in 1969. Hobby is a major hub for Southwest Airlines and a key gateway to the Gulf Coast region.
