Scarlett Martínez International Airport, also known as Río Hato Airport, is an international airport serving Río Hato, a town in the Coclé Province of Panama. The airport is located 3 kilometers (2 mi) east of Río Hato and 90 kilometers (56 mi) from the capital city of Panama City.
The airport was originally built as a United States Air Force base during World War II. After the war, it was used as an auxiliary airstrip until the 1990s, when it was transferred to Panamanian control. In 2013, the airport was reopened under the name Scarlett Martínez International Airport, in honor of Scarlett Martínez, a Panamanian aviation pioneer.
The airport is expected to play an important role in the development of tourism in the Coclé Province. The province is home to a number of popular tourist destinations, including the beaches of Río Hato, the town of El Valle de Antón, and the Coiba National Park.
