Albany International Airport is a Class I airport located six miles (9.7 km) northwest of Albany, New York, in Albany County. It is owned by the Albany County Airport Authority and serves as the major air center for the Capital Region, Northeastern New York, and Western New England. In 2021, it served over 2 million passengers.
The airport was originally built in 1928 and has been expanded and modernized several times since then. The most recent major expansion was completed in 2013, which added a new terminal and expanded the concourses.
